"Try to be a Rainbow in Someone's Cloud”  - Maya Angelou

I discovered Hearts of Hope when I ordered a kit to paint hearts for our Adopt A Soldier program in the Mideast and a unit of over 35 soldiers. Our family adopts soldiers and supports them while they are deployed.

(continued from Staff and Board Page)

I hosted a Wine and Paint night for a group of women and we painted 50 hearts to send. My kids were also involved and they loved it and wanted to paint with their friends daily.  We sponsored their classrooms to paint and from there we were all hooked.  My goal is to have Hearts of Hope in many classrooms because I have seen first hand the tremendously positive impact it has on the students and the recipients.  Obviously, we have a strong desire to paint for as many of our military men and women serving and veterans alike.

I am have been married for 22 years and we have 4 kids. Fortunately I have been a stay-at-home mom enabling me to pour my time and energy into helping others and volunteering. Hearts of Hope was a perfect match for me.  Originally I am from Georgia and Rocky and I have been in Stratford Connecticut for 12 years. I like to think that I bring my southern charm and hospitality with me here, never meeting a stranger because everyone is a friend. I believe a giving heart is a happy heart.
